Leon Williams

Leon Williams is a
native of Meridian, MS and has been playing music professionally for over 30
years. He has played with local
bands including “The Ditch”, “The Bush Pilots”, “Deja Blue”, and was
a founding member of the “Whodaddys”. He has been part of the opening act
for such groups as Roy Buchanan, Anson Funderburgh, Sam Myers, Clarence Carter,
Son Thomas, Charlie Daniels Band and Boz Scaggs. He and local musician Joey Ethridge won first place in the regional MS song writers contest. He now appears locally with the band “Little Wheel” along with musicians, Randy Bowles, Roger Crimm and Dave Zettler. ______________ J.
