Biographical Information
Kabana's play list includes plenty of rock from the sixties and seventies, and some good songs from the eighties and nineties as well (even though everybody knows the best stuff is the old stuff). The guys also deliver funk, pop, and even some jazz, along with their originals. They've even been known to sneak in a country song or two (but don't let that get around). When you love all kinds of music it has a way of flavoring your repertoire a bit. If you like to dance, you'll be dancing. If you'd rather listen, well, that's fine too. Musicians love to see people dance to their songs. But it's also really nice to see people just sitting and listening. Regardless of why you're there, when the band and the audience are on the same wavelength, you're guaranteed to have a good time. Along with a powerful rhythm section, Kabana's three lead vocalists add yet another dimension to the group, giving them the ability to go from the Beatles, to Tom Petty, to Lou Rawls without missing a beat. Although Kabana is a great cover band, you'll notice that even the cover songs they do will take on a whole new flavor when performed in the group's unique style. Kabana has been performing for the last eight years in Meridian and southeastern part of the U.S. It's been said that the three-piece group delivers such a full sound from the stage that a seven-piece band would be hard pressed to keep up. You'll just have to hear them perform to understand. Sound clips of live performances, as well as originals, can be found on the download page. Enjoy!
